I have been a registered nurse holding a BSN degree since 1989, (32 years) a group fitness instructor since 1998, (23 years) and an ACE —American Council on Exercise certified personal trainer since 2003 (18 years).
Due to my medical background local physical therapy departments send their patients to me who need medically supervised exercise. I have worked with post surgical orthopedic clients, those with a diagnosis of rectus diastasis either post natal or otherwise, stroke and cardiac patients and even those with Parkinson’s disease.
I work with healthy clients without a medical or surgical history as well.
I believe everyone needs to work on balance and stretching in addition to their other goals. It is never too soon to work on fall prevention.
I have also taught a variety of class formats: lifting classes/sculpting, yoga, cycling, Pilates mat and barre, D2G Socafit, Wine yoga as well as goat, and senior classes.
I have been certified to teach level 1-4 of pole fitness since 2016 (5 years).
I teach classes via zoom or in person (I lead yoga parties in people's yards in the summer months). I also train clients virtually as well as in person. Since COVID my training has been virtual.
I think humor is important too and that will be evident as you get to know me.
If you are not exactly where you want to be regarding your level of health and fitness please contact me via email. I am happy to help you reach your goals.
